Glam Cooking Chronicles: Shrimp with Strings!

Hey Glammies; Wanted to post the glam dinner I prepared last night with the recipe. Sautéed Shrimp and String Beans with a Tangy Garlic sauce…
The ingredients I used were all organic and purchased from Whole Foods Market. I’m converting my family to an Organic Diet and its REALLY making a difference!!! Try my recipe! You and your GLAMILY will LOVE IT!!!

YOU WILL NEED:
2 lbs shrimp (peeled and deveined)
1 lb Fresh String Beans
2 tsps dry sherry
2 tsps low sodium soy sauce
Sea Salt
Fresh ground pepper
1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive oil
2 tbsps minced garlic
1 12 tsps peeled fresh ginger (minced)
1 jalapeno pepper (seeded and finely chopped)
1 small onion chopped
12 tsp dark sesame oil

Heat a wok or large skillet over high heat. Add olive oil to pan. Add string beans to pan stir-fry 1 minute. Add garlic, ginger, and jalapeño; stir-fry 1 minute. Add shrimp to pan. Stir in broth mixture; cook 1 minute or until shrimp are done and sauce is thickened, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; stir in onions and sesame. All done! Enjoy!!!

Glam Cooking Chronicles: Bird & Brussels

Hey Glammies: on Sunday I was really proud of myself for cooking a COMPLETELY ORGANIC DINNER!
My grocery shopping was done at my FAVORITE grocery store WHOLE FOODS, Amber even shopped organic and cleaned her fridge out of food with harmful toxins!!!! Yaaay! We got some really fresh organic ingredients! I am on a mission to convert my family’s diet to 100% ORGANIC and we’re off to a great start. Here’s a few pix and recipes ENJOY…and BE INSPIRED TO LIVE A GLAM HEALTHY LIFESTYLE!

HERB ORGANIC ROASTED CHICKEN:
1 whole organic chicken (Whole Foods)
4 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. paprika
1 tsp. sea salt
1/2 tsp. fresh ground pepper
1 tsp. rosemary
1 tsp. thyme
Melt butter; stir in seasoning. Pour over chicken. Bake in preheated 400 degree oven about 30 minutes, basting with pan juices after 15 minutes..Top with fresh parsley

Ingredients
3 pounds Brussels sprouts
1/2 cup olive oil
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup balsamic vinegar
1 cup dried cranberries
Directions
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
Trim/clean the Brussels sprouts, then cut them in half. Arrange on 2 baking sheets and toss with the olive oil. Roast until brown, 25 to 30 minutes.
Combine the balsamic vinegar and sugar in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to medium-low and reduce until very thick.
Drizzle the balsamic reduction over the roasted sprouts, then sprinkle on the dried cranberries.

The family really enjoyed dinner, and I felt SO GLAM AWESOME knowing I was feeding them GLAMTASTIC ORGANIC FOOD!!!

British Royal Tea at the Four Seasons!

Hey Glammies; We were so excited to be invited to experience BRITISH AFTERNOON TEA TIME AT THE FOUR SEASONS over the weekend.
On Friday afternoon when we arrived at THE FOUR SEASONS we were immediately treated like ROYALTY
The General Manager came to greet us upon arrival and escorted us to the Fountain Restaurant where we were seated in the SWAN CAFE area at a perfect area the overlooked the grounds of the property. The Red Ball

20130312-144935.jpgHey Glammies; On Saturday night, the American Red Cross held the annual Red Ball, Gala where 2500 guests dined on delicious food by Seasons 52, the Water Works, Ristorante Panaroma, and the JNA Institute of Culinary Arts, and danced to the tunes of CTO Artists. The evening’s hostess, was Renée Cardwell Hughes, CEO of the Southeastern chapter of the American Red Cross and I was honored to be the MC as well as run the timeline, and perform for this GLAMAZING event!!! I had a GLAMAZING Birthday weekend!!! I was treated to a SURPRISE that BLEW MY MIND!!!
A GREAT FRIEND of mine took me on an excursion on his Private Jet. I will reveal more about this AND the person at a later date. Until then, here’s the outfit and a peek at his jet.
