Hey Glammies: Today we RAN to go see the SUPER GLAM movie we’ve been waiting for!!!! SPARKLE!!!!
The new cast stars Whitney Houston, Jordin Sparks, Derek Luke, and Mike Epps. We couldn’t wait to see all the GLAM!!!!
Jordin Sparks plays Sparkle. She’s a beautiful young lady who’s dream is to be a singer/songwriter.
The film is set in the late 60′s in Detroit, Michigan.
Sparkle’s family is considered to be middle-class and Whitney Houston plays her mom (Emma) who owns a dress shop.
Sparkle has two sisters played by Carmen Ejogo and Tika Sumpter. The three sisters form a singing group but fame takes a toll on the family.
We LOVED the movie, the costumes and the music.
The makeup, and hair was AMAZING as well!
This film is entertaining and delivers a few surprise twists that were NOT in the original movie!!!! The movie kept our attention and the storyline had a nice flow.
Take your girlfriends with you to see it, but I’m sure the fellas can enjoy it too!
Our beloved Whitney sang one solo in the film and you could hear people sniffling and crying in the theatre INCLUDING US!!!!
We rate the SPARKLE remake an A for total GLAM-NESS!!!!
As a vocalist and performing artist, this movie really hit home with me! I even still do trio gigs with my girls, and it’s ALWAYS A BLAST!
